GOT MILK... SOAP?

Why use milk soap?

Milk is a great moisturizing agent that contains natural glycerin and is packed full of essential nutrients and vitamins that are absorbed and feed the skin. Milk has a pH level that is very close to that of your skin and contains lactic acid which helps in breaking down dead skin cells and allows the skin the naturally rejuvenate.

Milk has been a beauty aid for thousands of years. It is said to help improve a variety of skin problems including redness, acne, wrinkles, and enlarged pores. Milk is a gentle cleanser, moisturizer, exfoliator, pore minimizer, and even soother for sunburns.

What types of milk are used in our soaps?

All milk contains lactic acid. Lactic acid is a natural exfoliating agent and helps the skin shed dry skin cells. The gentle exfoliation results in healthier looking skin. Even people with sensitive skin and eczema find milk soap far less harsh and drying than other soap products.

Goat milk naturally contains capric/caprylic triglyceride, a known moisturizer that replenishes the skin's surface and helps resist moisture loss. It gives a clean feeling without being harsh or irritating the skin.

Cow milk has a higher sugar content which causes a more foamy/creamy lather than other milk soaps. It still retains all the wonderful skin-loving benefits as other animal milks.

Sheep milk contains a higher fat content than other animal milks, which is why it can be considered superior to other types of milk. The additional fat is said to help reduce the appearance of fine line and wrinkles.
